For several years, the number of Belarusians seeking refuge in Poland has been growing – many due to the regime’s repression.
He is one such individual. Faced with arrest and ongoing persecution, he was forced to leave Belarus to protect his family. A year and a half ago, he managed to escape with his children, although his wife is still prevented from joining them in Poland.

Despite these difficulties, Roman remains deeply involved in ministry of the local church, serving the Belarusian community at the First Baptist Church in Białystok. This close-knit community, now nearly 70 members strong, gathers every Sunday for worship and meets in homes throughout the week. Their mission is to bring the gospel to the 20,000 people in the Belarusian minority living in Białystok and the surrounding areas.

Roman is highly trusted and has the authority to resolve even complex issues. He is the key person with whom everyone involved in the Belarusian ministry works, and whose opinion is deeply respected. Without him, it would be impossible to keep everything running smoothly Marcin Górnicki, Pastor of the First Baptist Church in Białystok.
His story is a moving testimony that even amid persecution and separation from loved ones, God provides the strength to remain faithful to His calling.
