supporting foster families in Poland

Last year, we made it happen! This year, we want to bring EVEN MORE joy! During last year’s summer camp, our “Irreplaceable Families” were able to catch their breath, strengthen their relationships, and return to everyday life with renewed strength. Tym razem chcielibyśmy wysłać na letni obóz, co najmniej 11 rodzin zastępczych i adopcyjnych, to 78 dzieci z rodzicami!

Just like the birth of a child, welcoming a child into a foster family also comes with many expenses involved in preparing a place for them, and often for siblings as well. Through the “New Beginning” project, we support foster and adoptive families during the first weeks after children arrive in their homes. Often, children come with just one bag and without basic belongings.

The church becomes a place where the hungry receive help, where children find a family, and where hearts gradually open to God’s love.

We’ve just come back from a weekend retreat for foster and adoptive parents 💙 A moment to breathe, meaningful conversations, and time just for themselves – something that doesn’t happen often in the midst of everyday service. It was also a precious time for building relationships and mutual support.

In the same way, spring brings a growing number of initiatives in our “New Roots” program.

Some of our guests, whom we had the chance to meet last year during visits to churches in Japan, came to lead an Easter camp for Ukrainian children with a refugee background.

“Prowiant” is not only material support, but also a way for local communities to be close to people and show the love of Christ in practice ❤️
