The grass turns green, leaves appear on the trees, and flowers bloom in the gardens.
In the same way, spring brings a growing number of initiatives in our “New Roots” program.
Thanks to the support of our donors, we are able to strengthen important initiatives led by local churches for refugee communities 🤝:
📍 Integration courses (Katowice, Toruń, Warsaw) – participants learn Polish and gain practical knowledge useful in everyday life
📚 The language course in Katowice places special emphasis on developing writing skills and improving listening comprehension. Participants meet in groups of around a dozen people, even twice a week!
👩‍👧 Gatherings for mothers with children (Warsaw) – an important group, as they make up a large part of refugees and displaced people. These meetings are supported by specialists
👵 Ministry among seniors (Warsaw) – a group particularly at risk of social exclusion. It is harder for them to integrate or find work; these gatherings create space for building relationships, which is vital for their well-being
🎨 Art therapy (Warsaw) – especially popular among people outside the church community (as many as 90% of participants!)
Through these practical activities, participants develop their skills, adapt more easily to society, and grow in faith while becoming more engaged in their local church communities. Thank you! 🙏
