The road to healing begins with support

On September 9, World FASD Day (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder), we had the privilege of participating in the 4th “Heal the Child” Conference in Biała Podlaska, organized by the Stowarzyszenie Jedno Serce.

The gathering brought together several hundred teachers, foster parents, and experts to jointly emphasize that every child in Poland deserves to be seen and given real support.

It was a time of learning, exchanging experiences, and inspiration—especially important for our Irreplaceable Families program. Once again, we were reminded of how vital it is to support foster and adoptive parents. Their well-being directly impacts the healthy development of children.

We are grateful to the organizers and to everyone working for children struggling with FASD and developmental trauma.

And we return to our own work, knowing that we are moving in the right direction.
