We have just come through a truly special season with the Emanuel project, carried out as part of the New Roots program. During Advent and the Christmas season, local communities across Poland prepared Christmas gatherings for children and their familiesāespecially those who, due to war and migration, found themselves in a new and challenging reality.
Fourteen communities took part in the program, allowing us to reach 1,500 people, including nearly 900 children. š„š„š„
The Emanuel project is about more than just Christmas gift packages. It includes evangelistic events and times of shared celebrationāconversation, play, prayer, and relationship-building. In many places, most of the children and adults came from outside the church, often visiting an evangelical community for the very first time.
One mother shared:
āI was surprised by the atmosphere of this meeting. The children joyfully answered questions about Christmas, and I myself realized that for the first time I was truly hearing the Gospel. I left feeling warmth and peace, and I would like to come back.ā
š We thank our sponsors and donorsāthanks to your support, it was possible to reach so many communities and families. We also thank local volunteersāadults, youth, and childrenāwho co-created these events with great commitment and heart. š¤
