The “New Roots” Program – how do we serve?
The New Roots program exists to support Ukrainian communities and other immigrant communities in Poland as they navigate adaptation, integration, and the building of a stable life.
We work in partnership with Polish churches as well as Ukrainian churches registered with the Baptist Union in Poland, believing that the Church can be a real source of support in the everyday challenges of migration.
What do we do? 🤍
🤝 we support leaders and those involved in ministry within local communities (the Leader project),
📈 through the Integration project, we help people with a refugee experience find their place in Polish society by offering language courses, support in developing professional skills, and assistance with administrative and formal matters,
🏖️ we co-fund holiday and break-time trips for children and youth through the Holidays / Winter Breaks project, organized by Ukrainian communities,
🎁 we implement the Emmanuel project—Christmas gatherings, gift packages for children, and evangelistic outreach in cooperation with local churches,
💞 we walk alongside communities, offering organizational, pastoral, and relational support.
📅 In 2026, we especially plan to:
- continue and further develop the existing New Roots projects,
- strengthen leaders and local communities,
- organize additional integration initiatives and trips for children and youth,
- launch the Provision project—food assistance for families in difficult circumstances,
- deepen cooperation between Polish and Ukrainian churches.
🙏 Our desire is that immigrant communities would not be left on their own,
and that the Church would be a place of help, relationship, and hope 🌱
