From the very first days of the full-scale war, the Bible Church in Irpin has been providing humanitarian aid, shelter, and spiritual and emotional support to the residents of the city 🤝
We have been supporting some of this church’s initiatives since the beginning of our ministry in Ukraine. 🎖️ For the past two years, this has also included demanding work among war veterans. This ministry involves regular visits by chaplains to hospitals, one-on-one conversations, therapeutic support, as well as medical and financial assistance — also extended to the families of soldiers 👨👩👧👦
During a recent hippotherapy session, one of the veterans shared:
“These sessions gave us a chance to stop thinking about the past, even if only for a moment.”
This is difficult work, carried out in the midst of war, and healing takes time ⏳. At the same time, we are encouraged to see that even from such painful experiences, hope can emerge 🌱, and that the service of volunteers brings healing to entire families.
Currently, construction is underway next to the church on a rehabilitation and holistic care center, where veterans and their loved ones will be able to receive long-term support and hear the Gospel 💛
We thank our Donors 💝 for their designated gifts supporting our work in Ukraine. These contributions help sustain, among other things, the ministry of the team from the Irpin church and their ongoing accompaniment of veterans — bringing hope to them and their families 💫
