We are launching the second edition of the LEADER Project!

💙 Together we strengthen those who strengthen others.

Through this project, we support leaders of Ukrainian communities in Poland so that financial concerns do not overshadow their calling and mission.

This year, 12 leaders are receiving support, serving communities in: Białystok, Bydgoszcz, Jelcz, Gdynia, Katowice, Łódź, Poznań, Szczecin, Warsaw, and Wrocław.These are people who care for their local communities every day, teach, and have a real impact on hundreds of others.

Today, we would like to introduce two of them 👇

🔹 Vitalii came from Ukraine to Poland in 2019 as a missionary. With the support of the Baptist church in Szczecin, a Ukrainian community was established, which now gathers around 50 people.Regular worship services, home groups, and weekday meetings take place, as well as summer and winter camps.

During Advent and the Christmas season, the community carried out street evangelism. During one of these outreach events, a young Ukrainian man who had temporarily come from Canada was invited to a worship service. He was going through a difficult season in his life, and at that time he came to faith. Until the end of his stay in Poland, he regularly attended the community’s gatherings. This was a deeply moving testimony of God’s work for the church.

🙏 Prayer requests for Vitalii:

  • for his wife during pregnancy and childbirth,

  • for consistent pastoral care for those who have recently joined the community, so that they may be accompanied spiritually and meaningful relationships can be built,

  • for passing his driving exam and for progress in learning the Polish language.

🔹 Oleh leads a Ukrainian community in Poznań, gathering around 30 people. Its vision is focused on discipleship—daily reading of the Bible and obedience to God’s Word.In addition to Sunday worship services, the community holds home group meetings centered on Bible study, prayer, and building relationships. Once a month, women’s meetings are also organized, fostering spiritual growth and mutual encouragement.During the Christmas season, the community hosted a special Christmas Eve gathering—a meaningful time of conversation, carols, reflections on the birth of Jesus, and decorating gingerbread together! 🎄

🙏 Prayer requests for Oleh:

  • for his family—to remain obedient to God and attentive to His voice, as well as for material provision and good academic results for the children,

  • for matters concerning the community: unity and mutual understanding, evangelistic initiatives, and the development of discipleship and home groups.
